The solicitation number is amended from DAAJ09-97-R-0096 to DAAH23-98-R-0134. Applicable to the T-55 Engine. The Government still intends to issue an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price Type Contract with five consecutive ordering periods. The minimum quantity is 102 each and the maximum quantity is 256 each. Delivery will be FOB Origin to Texarkanna, TX, for the first year ordering quantity of 102 each, with delivery of 12 each by 270 days after contract award and subsequent monthly deliveries of 10 each. This procurement requires prequalification. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government does not have specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. Approved source is: Allied Signal Engines Phoenix, AZ 85072-2181. The time required for approval of new supplies is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by submitting documentation in accordance with the Competition Advocate's Shopping List (CASL) procedures.
