Nelson 612-725-2189 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for
commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart
12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this
notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals
are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
Solicitation RFQ 618-88-98 is issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ).
This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are
those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-3. Provide all
to VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN.The SIC Code is 3563 and the
small business size is 500 employees. (1) Provide Brand Name Only Atlas
Copco ZT 18-8.6 Medical Air Compressor, 25 HP, 2-stage, air cooled,
oil-free, rotary screw, 100% duty cycle to deliver 91 CFM at 125 PSIG
complete with starter, mounted and wired, Electronikon Microprocessor
Control Panel, energy efficient, load/no load controls with automatic
start/stop and 100% air cooled after cooler, oil cooler and
intercoooler, completely mounted, piped and wired within 6-sided sided
enclosure, 70 dB max; 46/3 phase voltage, auto hot starting included;
completely mounted, piped and wired to include start-up for full
operation at time of VA installation; (2) Provide accessories including
health-care package capable of delivering medical quality bone dry air
(Type 1, Grade D) to 35 degrees F dewpoint -- Arrow Air Dryer to
match, Model A-125, heavy duty moisture separator, heavy duty automatic
drain and cabinets, 460/3/60 voltage; completely mounted, piped and
wired to include start-up for full operation at time of VA
installation; include Arrow F329 063 filter with external drain
included, 120 gallon ASME vertical tank, 460 volt compressor to be
hermetically sealed with suction line accumulator system and auto
pumpdown; crankcase heater for compressor for lubricant protection,
spiral finned air to air and freon to air heat exchanger, air cooled
condenser, quick response thermal expansion valve and hot gas bypass;
FOB destination pricing encouraged (otherwise, cite costs); 3 sets
operator and maintenance manuals with certified prints of general
compressor arrangement, parts listing, electrical schematics, etc.
Operator training to be provided by Contractor after VA installation.
Contractor guarantees delivery within __ __ __ calendar days. VAMC
personnel to install but Contractor must be on-site for start-up and
determination of fully operating system. The contractor guarantees the
equipment against defective material, workmanship and performance for
a period of __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __, said guarantee to run from date
of acceptance of the equipment by the Government. The contractor agrees
to furnish, without cost to the Government, replacement of all parts
and material which are found to be defective during the guarantee
period. Replacement of material and parts will be furnished to the
Government at the point of installation, if installation is within the
continental United States, or f.o.b. the continental U.S. port to be
designated by the contracting officer if installation is outside of the
continental United States. Cost of installation of replacement material
and parts shall be borne by the contractor. Payment may be made by
Government Purchase Card (VISA). System is to be delivered to the VA
Medical Center, Warehouse (90D), One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN
55417. The solicitation clauses incorporated herein are those in effect

statement addressing VISA payment. Award of Best Value for the
Government contract will be based on pricing, delivery period,
