This Federal Supply Schedule will no longer have a prescribed beginning and ending date. The schedule period will be continuous, and will contain contracts with contract periods that commence on the date of award and expire in five years from date of award. This solicitation will be a "standing" opportunities for new offers. New offers may be forwarded at any time. The Government will award contracts for identical brand name items when offers are determined to be fair and reasonable to the Government. This solicitation will include Sockets, Handles, Attachments and Wrenches; Screwdrivers, Nutdrivers, Bits and Screwstarters; Pliers and Nippers; Hammers, Mallets, Punches, Chisels and Nail Sets; Cutting, Stripping and Material Removal Tools; Measuring and Set Up/Layout Tools; Automotive Specialty Tools; Connector Tools; Miscellaneous Hand Tools; Tool Kits, Maintenance; and New Technologies. This procurement will not be set aside for small business. Clause I-FSS-l64-A, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract (8/95) will be incorporated in this solicitation. NOTE: Current contractors under the Standardization and Control of Industrial Quality Tools Program (SCIT) may elect to retain their existing contracts through the end of the contract period (2/28/0l) or they may submit new offers under this standing solicitation and cancel the existing contract at time of award.
