This requirement is for maintenance planting of wildlife openings. There are 150 openings (approximately 300 acres) managed for game and nongame wildlife species at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC. These opening average from 0.25-4 acres in size and are through out the woodland areas of the Base which cover a twenty-five (25) mile radius. The largest wildlife opening is approximately 16 acres. Planting shall be done during each of the following time periods/areas: Spring planting 1 April- 15 May, for all of Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune NC, Marine Corps Air Station, Camp Johnson, and Sandy Run. Fall planting 10 September -- 30 October mainside and Verona. The Government shall provide seed used for wildlife clearing maintenance. The resultant contract will be for the basic year plus one (1) option year. The proposed contract is 100 percent small business set-aside. See numbered Note 1.
