The U.S. Department of Commerce intends to negotiate a contract for a hazardous material survey (to include asbestos, lead-based paint, and radon gas) and development of a database of information relating to the survey. This will be a negotiated procurement. Survey location: National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) site at 325 Broadway in Boulder, Colorado. Duration: maximum of 120 days after contractor's receipt of Notice to Proceed. Survey will involve eighteen buildings comprising approximately 500,000 sq. ft. (46,452 meters square). Varying building ages up to approximately 40 years; some with significant renovations. Preproposal conference to be scheduled when solicitation is issued (approximately two weeks after the RFP is issued). Data from samples to be input by contractor into a database for future use by NIST. See Note 1.
