C -- INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT FOR STRATEGIC BALLISTIC MISSILE SUBMARINE DISMANTLEMENT AT ZVEZDA FAR EAST COMPANY POC Damon Q. McClure, Negotiator, (703) 325-1198, Billy G. Burks, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5021 The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) intends to issue a sole source contract to the Zvezda Far East Company. DSWA has a requirement for infrastructure improvement which is needed for submarine dismantlement. The effort to be performed includes oxygen generator testing, electrical system repair on 3 shipyard cranes, installation of 2.4 km electrical supply cable for Low Level Radioactive Waste Volume Reduction in Russia (LLRW), and installation of low pressure air distribution system. DSWA believes that the Zvezda Far East Company is the only source possessing the necessary existing information, resources, and expertise to meet this program requirement within the time required by DSWA. In addition, this is a predominantly "closed" shipyard in Russia. Any other firm desiring consideration must fully identify its capability to perform this requirement. See Note 22.
