Construct and Lease (No Controlled Site) a 20,300 SF Net Interior
Postal Facility located in Downtown Hattiesburg, MS. The offeror must
own or control the site. The minimum site size identified is considered
adequate for postal needs. However, should the offered site require
unusual setbacks, on-site water and sewer systems, or other conditions
which would require additional land, the offeror must ensure that
sufficent additional land is included and made a part of the proposal.
The property offered must be zoned to permit use for a postal facility
or must be capable of being rezoned for such use without delay of
construction. The successful offeror will be required to present a
boundary and topographic site survey and subsurface explorations, in
accordance with specifications as provided by USPS. Additionally, it
will be the successful offeror's responsibility to provide any and all
improvements, whether on-site, to meet Dept. of Transportation
requirements, including, but not limited to, acceleration/deceleration
lanes, storm sewer, or other drainage improvements. BONDS: The
successful offeror shall submit within 20 days after acceptance of
their proposal both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment
Bond, each with a corporate surety certified as acceptable by the
Treasury Department. General Decision Number MS970058 (Mississippi,
Forrest County) is made a part of this solicitation. The USPS reserves
the right to award within 120 days after close of the solicitation.
Award notices will be sent to all offerors, local plan rooms and posted
in the Commerce Business Daily ONLY. Written requests, along with the
$100.00 per package non-refundable fee, should be directed to: Rod
Slater & Associates, POB 91387, Mobile, AL 36691-1387. Checks/money
orders should be made payable to: "ROD SLATER & ASSOCIATES". No cash
will be accepted. No telephone requests for plans will be accepted.
Plans and specifications will be available on or about 02/16/98.

compliance with this solicitation. All other carriers will be rejected.
