14 -- COMMAND RECEIVER SOL F42610-98-R-BBBBK POC For copy, Jack Albretsen/Lmka/[801]777-5793, For additional information contact Jack Albretsen/Lmka/[801]777-5793 NSN: NCE509515, P/N 10-22493-1, Noun: Command Receiver, Application: LGM30 The Air Force is procuring 6 L-3 Communications/Conic Division command receiver/decoders (CDR) Model FTR 550-2, 4 qualification and 2 production units, for use on the Minuteman missile in support of the Vandenberg AFB test flight program. This effort is to perform qualification test done in accordance to Boeing Aerospace drawing 10-22493-1, Rev E; accomplish evaluation of the CRD/MOD-7 Wafer interfaces to insure compatibility; and meet range safety requirements of WRR 127-1. The CRDs are the primary components in the destruct system that is used to destroy the missile should it deviate from the predetermined flight path. All new manufacturers of these CRDs are required to perform a complete qualification test with associated reports and analysis. The offeror must have the expertise and experience necessary to procure Loral Model 550 Command Receiver and demonstrate compliance to the technical data. The contract is required to have a good working relationship with VAFB range safety and must meet the range safety specifications. The contractor must have a working knowledge of MOD-7 electrical and mechanical interfaces, past command receiver failures and range safety test requirements and have the availability of an unique Radio Frequency Test Set and Digital Test Set for checking Telemetry. The instrumentation wafer specification S-133-1006-1-0-6A, dated 15 December 1988, contains both the operational requirements and the qualification test that are required to be met with this program. Government furnished equipment is not available for this procurement. Contract must furnish all test equipment. Boeing is the only qualified source to perform the required testing and evaluation.
