This effort will purchase a Walker 58" D mill master magnet complete with chains and connectors to be mounted on a Caterpillar 375 excavator. The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) plans to award a sole source purchase order to Caterpillar, Inc. The equipment being ordered is a Caterpillar-designated accessory to a previously obtained item of Caterpillar equipment. As such, Caterpillar is uniquely qualified to obtain and install it most efficiently, at the least cost to the Government, and in the shortest possible time. Any other firm desiring consideration must fully identify its capability to perform this requirement. See Note 22 (substitute 15-day proposal receipt period in lieu of 45-day period).
