R -- INFORMATION RETRIEVAL SERVICES DELIVERY ORDER SOL HEWL/ML DUE 022398 POC Joan McCoy, Contracting Officer The Library of Congress intends to issue a delivery order against an existing Basic Ordering Agreement with LEXIS-NEXIS to renew a subscription for the continued use and access of their database system by Department of Health and Human Services, Washington, DC (HEWL). This subscription is for online access to LEXIS/NEXIS and related services which contain an extensive array of databases with nearly 60 million documents and offer a full range of legal, legislative, regulatory, company and financial, medical, news and current affairs information. The LEXIS service includes access to case law, administrative decisions, statutes, regulations, law reviews, specialty publications and more. A comprehensive set of specialized libraries cover more than 30 areas of federal and state practice. In addition, the service houses international law libraries for the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth and France. Libraries and publications in the NEXIS service are global in scope and cover a variety of topics includingbusiness, government, finance, politics, technology, and general news. Three libraries are dedicated to federal and state legislation, and to federal executive and campaign materials. Full-text and abstracted medical information are housed in MEDIS. The Financial Information service includes company and financial information on public and private corporations throughout the world. Document Retrieval and Delivery Services are provided through MICHE. Services will be continued through September 30, 1998.
