S -- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR LAUNDRY AND DRY CLEANING OF GOVERNMENT OWNED LINEN AND GARMENTS FOR MALCOLM GROW MEDICAL CENTER ANDREWS AIR FORCE BASE, MD POC Keith A. Stewart, TSgt, USAF The 89th Contracting Squadron is seeking sources for Hospital Laundry and Dry Cleaning Service. The service includes but is not limited to pickup, delivery, wash, press, fold or hang, laundry and dry cleaning both contaminated and non-contaminated Government owned hospital garments. Both large and small businesses are encouraged to participate, as this is a request for information only. The responses to this sources sought shall address the applicability of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Contractors who feel that this acquisition can meet the definition of a commercial Service found in FAR 12 should provide the following: customary practices regarding customizing, modifying or tailoring of services to meet customer needs and associated costs; customary practices, including warranty, buyer financing, discounts ect., under which commercial sales of the services are made; the requirements of any laws and regulations unique to the service being acquired; customary practices regarding quality assurance procedures and other terms and conditions that would govern this type of acquisition. Information submitted shall not be returned. The duration of the contemplated contract including option years is five (5) years. This notice shall not be construed as an RFP nor obligate the Government to award a contract, restrict the Government in its ultimate acquisition approach, obligate the Government to pay for any information that is submitted or costs associated with proposal preparation.
