This is a correction to the previous synopsis. The general contractor for this project shall be licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an asbestos abatement contractor. A minimum of one Massachusetts licensed asbestos abatement supervisor shall be on site during all phases of work. All other workers, including equipment operators and subcontractors, shall be trained as asbestos abatement workers as per 453 CMR 6.00. All personnel, including equipment operators and subcontractors, shall don personnel protective equipment and respirators as required by OSHA. All work shall comply with the statement of work and all current applicable regulations including but not limited to 40 CFR 61, 49 CFR 173, 29 CFR 1926.1101, 310 CMR 7.15, and 453 CMR 6.00. Transportation and disposal of contaminated soil shall be accomplished by licensed and permitted companies. Copies of licenses and certifications shall accompany the bid package when bid are due.
