A -- SHALLOW FOUNDATION RESEARCH REPORT SOL DTFH61-98-Q-00041 DUE 031798 POC Donna McAleer, Contracting Officer, 202-366-4270 The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to negotiate with the University of Massachusetts (UMass) at Amherst to provide assistance with the Shallow Foundation Research Report. The UMass shall complete the remaining spread footing experiments at the UMass/Amherst and assist in the experiements at FHWA Research Center. The results of both tests will be compiled, analyzed and presented in a research report. The UMass has assisted in the collection of this experimental data in the past and is presently the only known source available with the knowledge and experience to perform these tasks. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about March 17, 1998. (0041)
