The objective of this notice is to gather sources that are capable of designing and fabricating a process for a injection mold of a five increment extraction sleeve for use in the PA103E2 container for 155MM XM231/XM232 increments using a plastic compound and fiber preform. In addition the contractor will provide 1,250 molded extraction sleeves and four fiber guage preforms. The contractor shall have injection molding capability and braided and filament winding preform equipment. The contractor shall also have working knowledge of the Modular Artillery Charge System (MACS), PA103 containers and U.S. Army rough handling requirements. The MACS and its components are on The Militarily Critical Technologies List (MCTL), as a critical element in section 2.5 for "Gun and Artillery Systems" . Therefore, the MACS Technical Data Package (TDP) is restricted by the Arms Export Control Act (Title 22, U.S.C Sec 2751) and is subject to DoD Directives 5230.24 and 5230.25. The technical data is marked with limited distribution statement F which states: "Further dissemination only as directed by Commander US Army or higher authority". MACS is a direct replacement for the 155MM Propellant Charges M203A1 and all current bag-type 155MM Propelant Charges which are on the Industrial Preparedness Planning List. Firms with experience in the areas cited above should provide a summary of their company's capabilites within 15 days of this publication to Department of the Army, US Army TACOM-ARDEC, Attn: AMSTA-AR-PC, Sandra LaBell, Contracting Officer, Bldg 10, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000.
