Letterkenny Army Depot is attempting to locate contractors who are currently involved in the recycling of wood pallets,wood crates, shredded wood and miscellaneous wood products through the issuance of this market survey announcement. Letterkenny has approximately 100,000 tons of existing wood products and will generate an average of 750 to 1,000 tons of similar wood products annually. Any/all recycling efforts will be conducted at the contractors facility. Letterkenny requests information concerning standard wood recycling acquisition and compensation methods (i.e., are the wood resources donated by the generator for a portion of the recycling profits; are the wood resources bought by the recycler from the generator; how do the collection and transportation of the wood resources figure into the recycling process; what volume of wood resources is required in order for a wood recycling program to be cost effective and efficient; are wood resources separated by type/grade). This market survey is for informational purposes only. All information provided by the contractor will be provided at the companies expense and will not be returned by the Government.
