Fogarty, (215) 823-5872 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Philadelphia VA Medical Center, has a requirement for implementation services relative to Sterile Processing & Surgical Services. Implementation services shall include interim management of Sterile Processing, training and education of Sterile Processing and Surgical Staff, business process redesign, installation of new sterilization equipment, implementation of an instrument asset management system, enhanced sterilization, infection control, quality assurance initiatives, and review, revision and validation of Sterile Processing policies and procedures. Additional initiatives include developing a cost effective operational model for Sterile Processing, leveraging use of information technology, standardizing instruments and supplies and managing utilization to continually reduce costs, developing new capabilities and core competencies to improve productivity, eliminating duplication of inefficient processes to operate more efficiently, optimizing human resource management, and integrating the business practices of Sterile Processing, Surgical Services, and Materials Management. Vendors with a capability to provide Sterile Processing & Operating Room Program Implementation Services are invited to submit in writing, sufficient information which demonstrates the ability to fulfill this requirement. Responses must include descriptive literature, a point of contact (name and telephone number) and if applicable, GSA Contract number and pricing. Vendors are advised that they are not restricted in what is presented in their information as long as sufficient material(s) are provided to allow proper evaluation. All responses received will be fully considered by the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. No solicitation document exists. Requests for a copy of the solicitation will be considered as a negative response. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
