The work to be performed consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary for the Alter/Repair AGE Equipment Shop, Bldg 548, located at the Charleston AFB, SC. The work includes but is not limited to the following major items or work which are listed for the contractor's convenience in order that he may determine the general scope of work involved as follows: ALTER AGE EQUIPMENT SHOP: Construct an outdoor storage slab, provide a wash rack at one end of the storage area with a metal roof covering, curbed containment, and an oil/water separator. REPAIR AGE EQUIPMENT SHOP: Demolish existing latrine in Bldg 549 and existing offices in Bldg 548, construct new offices to replace existing ones, refurbish existing overhead cranes, remove/replace the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, provide fire protection to the new office areas and covered storage area, provide exterior flood lighting, investigate existing building structure for seismic and wind loading, clean and paint all structural steel, remove/replace existing shop floor coating, prewire building for telephone and LAN systems, provide windows in the office areas, demolish existing wash rack facility, provide an elastomeric coating system over the existing hanger roof and endwall panels and over the new arched roof and vertical fascia covering the wash rack at the outdoor storage area. This solicitation will be evaluated using the Performance Price Trade Off Procedures. Evaluation factors will be set forth in Sections L&M of the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest price. Performance time is 255 calendar days.
