Frederick (E-mail -- afrederick@darpa.mil) DARPA intends to enter into
an Agreement under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2371, Section 845, with
the Boeing Company of Mesa, Arizona, for the purpose of testing the
feasibility of Boeing's patented Canard Rotor/Wing Air Vehicle Concept.
Patent Number 5454350 of 3 October 1995 pertains. The intended
Agreement shall be cost-shared, 50%/50%. The estimated gross value of
this Agreement is $24 million. The estimated duration is 40 months.
Boeing is the only source known to the Government that possesses the
capability and expertise to test the feasibility of this concept within
program budgetary and schedule constraints. This Notice is published
