Z -- REPAIR FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS SOL QFI80973 DUE 022798 POC Patricia Pemberton, contract specialist, (301) 435-8448 and fax (301) 402-2598 The National Institutes of Health intends to procure Fire Sprinlker services from Earstern Fire Protection, Inc. of 762 Whitneys Landing Dr., Crownsville, MD 21032. Provide, install, and replace the various equipment and materials in the following building: Bldg. 11, (1) replace three 2 1/2" brass F.H.V. caps in stairwell. (2) Install 6 breakway chain and locks on fire pump valves. Bldg 13, (1) Replace (4) four tamper switches no longer functioning properly. (2) Replace the O.S. and y valve in the chief's office. (3) Secure all O.S. and Y valves for new baclflow preventors with locks and chains. (4) Replace flow switch in carpentry shop. Replace 1" inspectors test valve(E). Bldg 12, (1) Provide sprinkler coverage as per N.F.P.A in storage under wood floor. (2) Replace six (6) spare heads. Bldg 12B, 62, 60, 29A, 30, 28, 14C, 14E, 31, 5, 6, 32, and 41. (1) Test Omega sprinkler heads. Bldg 38, (1) Replace (3) broken buterfly valves. Secure three (3) valves w/ tampers. (2) Remove 2 1/2" plastic pipe in vault and redo as per N.F.P.A. 13 code. Bldg 82, (1) Provide sprinkler coverage as per NFPA-13 outside room 203A. Bldg 37, 35, 29A, NMRI, 41, 14A, 14F, 34, 8, and 18 -- Relocate, replace, and add sprinkler heads, OS and Y valves, piping, water motor alarm, coolant tower flushing and all required materials to meet NFPA. 13 in the above mention bldgs. Bldgs 13, 38, and 41 -- Replace, repair, and install flow control heads, piping, valves, and deluge riser systems. Also all other materials, necessary to meet NFPA-13 for the above mention buildings.
