Hughes 816-426-7267, ext 229 The U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, intends to purchase the following spare parts: Power Supply, Focus Coil, p/n 3D59369G01, cage 97942, 10 each; Modified Motor, p/n 1D23067G01, cage 97942, 10 each. The original items were provided to the Government under the National Weather Service NexRad Radar Program. The prime contractor was Unisys Corporation now Lockheed Martin. The items specified were manufactured by Westinghouse [Northrup Gruman]. The Government intends to purchase these devises from Westinghouse Canada. The Government knows of no other source and believes that these items are proprietary to estinghouse. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire from one manufacturer under the authority of 41USC253(c)(1). The Government will accept offers from any qualified source capable of supplying the items. The spare parts will be delivered to the National Weather Service, Kansas City, on an FOB Destination basis. The Government does not have specifications or drawings for these items. Any small business source, able to provide the exact make and model of the equipment referenced herein is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 30 days after it's publication.
