has the responsibility under the Safe Drinking Water Act as amended in
1996 to establish National Primary Drinking Water Regulations. In
addition, EPA has responsibility to investigate data on chemical,
radiological and microbiological contaminant occurrence to characterize
drinking water threats. Under the proposed contract, the contractor
will provide technical support and information development capability
necessary for the development of drinking water regulations.
Specifically, the contractor will collect and evaluate available
technical information and develop methods for identification and
prioritization of potential drinking water contaminants. In addition,
the contractor will undertake: assessments of occurrence and human
exposure; selection and evaluation of analytical methods for detecting
waterborne contaminants; and performance and cost analyses of
available water treatment technologies. This procurement will be
processed using FAR Part 15 and willbe awarded using full and open
competition. It is anticipated that a Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite
Quantity contract will be awarded. The ordering period of the contract
will be 36 months. The expected minimum value is $50,000 and the
expected maximum potential value is $20,500,000. Solicitation
