SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION SPRING 1998 HELPING COMPANIES TAP $1
BILLION PLUS OPPORTUNITY IN FY 1998 FEDERAL R&D Uncle Sam is seeking
small firms interested in federal funding to develop and commercialize
technology. Over $1 billion in federal R&D funds is available for
awards to firms with 500 and fewer employees for R&D and
commercialization. The Spring 1998 Small Business Innovation Research
(SBIR) Conference, to be held in San Jose CA on April 3-5, 1998, is the
largest federally-sponsored conference focused on helping small high
technology companies access these funds. A unique feature of the
conference is one-on-one meetings with R&D program managers from the 11
Federal agencies responsible for 98% of all Federal R&D spending, major
companies interested in innovative technologies, and venture
capitalists. Seminars and other sessions with government and private
experts provide insights into how to win federal R&D dollars and
convert federally-funded R&D into commercial successes. The
registration fee is only $175. This fee covers all conference sessions,
documents, and meals. Registration can be made by calling the
Conference Hotline at (561)791-0720 or visiting the conference website
