This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation # F08650-98-Q-0002 is issued as a Request for Quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-02, Defense Acquisition Circular 91-12, and Air Force Space Command Circular 96-1. This procurement is a sole source requirement, however, all responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the 45th Space Wing. The SIC code/small business size standard are 7699/$5.0M. It is anticipated that an award will be made to Emergency One, Inc., Ocala FL for repairs to the P23 firefighting vehicle. The requirement involves inspection/evaluation of drivetrain components, cab and chassis,body, pump and plumbing repairs, as well as replacement of various parts of the firefighting vehicle. The required delivery is 180 days after acceptance. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items.
