The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA) is soliciting proposals in conjunction with the National Skill Standards Board, for the Development of Voluntary Partnerships Who Will Promulgate the Identification, Development and Validation of Systems of Voluntary Skill Standards in Economic Sectors and O*NET, The New Occupational Information Network. The contractor will be asked to assist representative groupings in formulating and crystallizing sets of voluntary skill standards and to explore use of the O*NET System. The period of performance for the prospective award will be twelve (12) months, from contract execution, with a twelve (12) month extension at the government's discretion. The requirement is let under 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. The SIC Code is 8748 and the Size Standard is 5 million. Request for proposals will be available on our Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration's Internet Home Page at HTTP://WWW.DOLETA.GOV, approximately 15 days from the date of publication. Requests for proposals in hard copy form will also be available upon written request only, on a first come, first-served basis, until the supply is exhausted. Telephone requests will not be honored. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The fee will not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the solicitation documents. Closing date for receipt of proposals will be April 14, 1998, at 2:00 P.M. local time. Requests for proposals must cite RFP-DAA-98-11 and must include two self addressed labels. Failure to enclose labels may cause delay in receipt of the solicitation. NO COLLECT CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
