The Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) intends to award a sole source order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Dr. Laura Colker, 1260 21st Street, NW, Suite 611, Washington, DC. The contractor will provide expert services in the training and implement expansion of the Sure Start program. "Sure Start" is the Department of Defense Dependent Schools' (DoDDS) Preschool Program for children, residing on military bases overseas, identified as at risk for school failure. It is based on the "Head Start" Program in the United States, which is not available overseas. This training will consist of training of Sure Start teachers, aides, and administrators in order to implement Sure Start programs on military installations in the DoDDS Europe and the Pacific area. Contractors who believe that they can meet this requirement are invited to submit information demonstrating their ability to meet these requirements. This notice is for informational purposes only.
