Haun, 602-869-2314 The project is located 8 miles south of Winkleman, AZ, approximately 60 miles from Tucson. It is designed to enhance the existing wetlands known as Cooks Lake. This is an enviornmental mitigation action required as a result of wetland damage sustained at another construction site. There will be tight restrictions on the construction activities with respect to direct and indirect effects on vegetation and wildlife. A general description of the work includes the construction of one reinforced concrete flow control structure, with embedded steel stoplog slots and seat plate. Approximately 5 cubic yards of concrete will be required. Excavation (5 cubic yards) and backfill (40 cubic yards) associated with the flow control structure and spillway. Provide timber stoplogs and removable weir. Line an existing spillway with riprap (27 cubic yards) and riprap bedding (8 cubic yards). Minor grading, shaping, and backfill (2 cubic yards) of the ground near the spillway. Attach steel toggle slide gate to existing 24inch concrete culvert.
