99 -- NEWSPRINT PAPER DUE 040698 POC Sheree Young, Contracting Officer, 202 512-2023 The United States Government Printing Office (GPO) is soliciting proposals for approximately 10 million pounds of 28-pound newsprint paper with a minimum content requirement of 40 percent postconsumer fiber. The newsprint is used ot print the Congressional Record and Federal Register. This solicitation incorporates the Paper Products Recovered Materials Advisor Notice (PAPER RMAN) published May 29, 1996 (61 FR 26985) under authority of Sections 2002(a) and 6002 of the Solid Waste Disposal Act, as amended by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976, as amended, 42 U.S.C. 6912(a) and 6962, and Executive Order 12873, "Federal Acquisition, Recycling, and Waste Prevention" (58FR 54911, October 22, 1993) and as amended March 26, 1996 (61FR 13645). Sealed proposals will be received in the U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, DC, for furnishing newsprint for the term beginning June 1, 1998. Deliveries to be F.O.B.
