AMI-American Management, Inc. as prime contractor to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is soliciting proposals from qualified firms licensed to perform security guard services in the State of Illinois. The contractor will be expected to perform security services at troubled multifamily properties currently owned or in the possession of HUD at any location in the state. Services shall consist of both armed and unarmed security officers provided at the subject properties on a 24-hour a day, 7-day a week basis. Contractors will be evaluated for technical capability to perform the work and AMI will conduct an extensive past performance evaluation of offerors. Contract will be awarded for a base period plus two (2) one-year options. This solicitation will be issued on or about March 13, 1998.
