has a requirement for the removal and disposal of a 750-gallon
dilution tank at the EPA Ecosystems Research Laboratory, 960 College
Station Road, Athens, Georgia. The tank, its contents, and some
associated soil are contaminated with parts-per-million levels of
trichloroethylene (TCE) and must be disposed of as hazardous waste.
Work will include sampling and analysis of materials, removal of
liquid, sludge and solids from the tank, removal of the tank and 1
meter of surrounding soil, reconnection of sewer, and backfilling of
the hole created by tank and soil removal. A firm-fixed-price contract
is contemplated. The anticipated contract performance period is 60
calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated price
range is under $75,000. The Request for Proposals will be issued on or
about March 5, 1998, with proposals due on or about March 20, 1998.
There will be no charge for solicitation documents. Requests for RFP

unrestricted acquisition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal
