It is the intent of the CECOM Acquisition Center-Washington to purchase for testing, one (1) RHINO Earth Tiller Demining System, test support, one year's quantity of spare parts, training and data from MAK Systems Gesellschaft mbH of Kiel, Germany. The RHINO Earth Tiller Demining System is a mechanical mine clearance system for the wide-area clearance in humanitarian demining environments. The RHINO is a nondevelopmental system consisting a basic vehicle Earth Tiller RHINO with blast protections for a cabin, hydraulic and water coolers, remote control, and Demining unit with an automatic depth controller. The system will be purchased in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Other Than Full and Open Competition, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements MAK Systems Gesellschaft mbH of Kiel, Germany.
