Smith (301)227-1640 The Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (CDNSWC) proposes to issue a sole source modification for additional effort under contract number N00167-97-C-0009. This additional effort shall require the expansion of the Parametric Analysis of Ship Systems (PASS) analytic tool from BAND, LAVIS AND ASSOCIATES, who originated PASS from proprietary algorithms. The expansion will cover advanced hull forms such as Catamarans, Trimarans, Quadrimarans, Surface Effect Ships and Hydrofoils. PASS presently covers monohulls and Mobile Offshore Bases. The PASS tool allows program managers to determine whole ship impact of emerging technologies across all ship types. The tool must be compatible with existing ship analytic tools such as ASSET, and determine procurement cost changes as well as signature implications. See Note 22. (0050)
