Berns, CONTRACTING OFFICER The Huntington District Corps of Engineers intends to procure a contract for Limited Geotechnical with Drilling Services. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, supplies, and materials to determine the type, nature, characteristics, and present extent and condition of various materials located in the Huntington District; to include much of the State of West Virginia, about one half the State of Ohio and smaller portions of Kentucky, Virginia and North Carolina. The Huntington District is now a part of the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (CELRD). The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery type contract, competitively neg otiated NTE $1,500,000.00. The contract will be awarded for a base year with one option year. The award will be made as a whole to the offeror whose proposal conforms to the solicitation and has been determined to be the most advantageous to the Government, all factors considered. The contractor will be required to provide one drilling rig to the worksite within 24 hours of notification; two rigs within 72 hours of notification; and six rigs within a week of notification.
