This project includes all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to install new ballast and fluorescent lamps in various buildings throughout McConnell AFB. Location plan and specifics will be be supplied with solicitation package. This work includes, but is not limited to the following: -- Removal af all existing ballast from all existing light fixtures in buildings to be specified in solicitation packege. All ballast not marked as having "NO PCB's" shall be disposed of in accordance with state regulations. -- Furnishing and installing new electronic ballast in all light fixtures. -- Removal of all lamps from existing light fixtures. -- Furnishing and installing new lamps on all existing light fixtures. -- Furnishing and installing all necessary wiring, sockets, or other items necessary to complete the total project. Magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Anticipated issuance date for RFB solicitation number F14614-98-R0006 is 19 Mar 98. Performance period will be 270 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Standard classification code (SIC) is 1731. This solicitation is being issued on an unrestricted basis. No telephone requests for solicitation packages will be honored. All requests for solicitation packages or plan-holders list must be in writing.
