Each drying bed is approximately 50' wide by 100' long and has two (2) concrete runways which will support small wagons or trucks (3/4 ton maximum). The reed beds have built up sides constructed of treated lumber to increase the depth of each reed bed. The Contractor will be required to remove a portion of this built up end wall to gain access to the beds, these openings in the walls are to be replaced upon completion of sludge removal from the beds contained within the built up side wall. Sludge dept is estimated to average 18" on two (2) beds and 36" on two (3) beds. There is approximately 1,670 cy of dried sludge and root material to be removed from four (4) beds. The period of performance is 60 calendar days. Forth coming contract will be firm-fixed price. The estimated range for this project is $25,000 to $100,000. this acquisition is issued pursuant to the "Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988" and subsequent award will be subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Therefore, this solicitation is Unrestricted. For the purpose of determining Small Business size, SIC 1794 for this acquisition the average annual receipts of a concern and its affiliates for the preceding three fiscal years must not exceed $7 million.
