This is a combined sysnopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement consitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The only approved source for this solicitation is Allison Engine Co., Indianapolis, IN. FSCM: 63005. Solicitation F41608-98-R-46041 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Contract line item 0001 is for 250 EA of Compressor Vane 7th (NSN 2840014364063RW, P/N 23064897). Size/Dimensions: A vane assembly made up of air foils, inner and outer foil retaining bands, shaped in a half moon shape. The outer band measures approx 15" in diameter and is approx 1" thick. The inner band is approx 1" thick and has a diameter of approx 11". The air foils are approx 2" tall.; Form/Fit/Function Description: The assembly is part of the 7th stage of a T56 compressor module. During engine operation, the vane assembly directs compressed air from the 6th stage onto the 8th stage compressor rotor blade to continue the compression process through the compressor assembly.; Predominant Material of Manufacture: Corrosion/Heat resistant stainless steel. Material is to be delivered to Kelly AFB, TX (FB2059) as follows: 50 EA -- Nov 98, 50 EA -- Dec 98, 50 EA -- Jan 99, 50 EA -- Feb 99, 50 EA -- Mar 99. Acceptance and FOB are at origin. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items also applies to this acquisition. Qualifications requirements are in accordance with Commercial procedures.
