E-MAIL: harmstrong@dscp.dla.mil, harmstrong@dscp.dla.mil. The DSCP intends to enter into firm fixed-price indefinite quantity type contracts for the supply of brand name and generic optical supplies. They include the following: lenses, frames, contact lenses, misc (consumables required for fabrication process) and identified surge requirements. The intent of this contracting effort is to utilize commercial practices that will result in lower inventory, personnel and warehousing costs and provide the full breadth and scope of brand-named optical and optical-related products. This contract will primarily support the Naval Ophthalmic Support and Training Activity (NOSTRA) located in Yorktown, VA. In addition to NOSTRA, other Navy (16 sites) and Army (10 sites) will be covered under this contract. Although the Navy sites will be ordering the full range of products, the Army sites, initially, may restrict their orders to frames. This limited scope of ordering, however, may change in the future. DSCP may place orders for additional sites in the future. This is aone year contract with four-1 year options. Base year est:$3.65 million. Each option estimated at $7.3 million.
