AND GSA-SUPPORTED FACILITIES IN THE STATES OF ILLINOIS, INDIANA,
MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN SOL GS05P98GCD0001 POC Roger R. Pinnau,

solicitation provides for armed and unarmed uniformed security guard
and patrol services (SIC Code 7381) at GSA-controlled and/or
GSA-supported facilities located throughout the states of Illinois,
Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Performance will commence using a
two-phase process over a two-year base period, as follows: Phase One --
starting on the first day of the first year, support about 45
facilities located in portions of Wisconsin, Indiana and Illinois
(excluding six Chicago facilities); Phase Two -- starting on the first
day of the second year, include existing worksites and add about 45
more facilities located in the remaining portions of Wisconsin, Indiana
and Illinois (excluding six Chicago facilities), plus all of Minnesota.
Subsequent option periods, if exercised by the Government, shall
include all of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana and Illinois (except for
six Chicago facilities). For the duration of the Contract, the
Contractor shall simultaneously provide all required labor and
services, including security guards, supervisors, managers, supplies
(ammunition, etc.), materials, uniforms, equipment (weapons,
patrol/supervisor vehicles, etc.), certificates, licenses, permits,
liability insurance, performance bond, training, coordination,
planning, reports, invoicing and related Contract support, according to
Government scheduling and staffing requirements, at posts and
facilities located throughout the geographic area required by the
Contract. Contract security guard duties include monitoring and
controlling facility access and egress; providing initial security
screening; operating some Government-furnished magnetometer and x-ray
security devices; providing a mobile patrol presence; detecting,
deterring, reporting and responding to security-related incidents; and
utilizing Government-furnished security-related voice radio systems.
This solicitation is expected to be issued on or about April 2, 1998.
The RFP will include some historical data about incumbent Contractors
and Contract usage. Proposals are expected to be due on or about May 4,
1998. The estimated Contract award date will be in early or mid-August,
1998, with start of performance October 1, 1998. The term of the
Contract is two years, plus three one-year renewal options, for a
maximum of five years. This procurement is being solicited on a full
and open competitive basis. To request a copy of the RFP or inquire

a different address for receipt of Proposals than for receipt of
Offeror requests. Proposals shall have large outer markings of"PROPOSAL
for GS05P98GCD0001" and shall be delivered to the Proposal address:
"General Services Administration Business Center, Room 3718 (MailStop
37-5), 230 South Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL 60604-1696." For the
purposes of this solicitation, this GSA Business Center address is used
only for receipt and logging of proposals do not address RFP requests
or RFP inquiries to this proposal-only address. A preproposal
conference is expected in April, 1998, at a Federal facility located in
Chicago, IL. This will be an indefinite delivery, fixed price
requirements-type service Contract, with an estimated five (5) year
