grease trap cleaning, removal, disposal and providing and servicing
drums at various facilities for the collection of waste cooking grease.
Grease traps located outside of buildings are constructed of concrete.
Covers are either hinged or removable steel plate equipped with
handles. Each trap is located adjacent to a paved drive-way which is
accessible to a tank truck. Equipment needed are pump trucks and
pressure hose/hand tool; Oil/Water Separators: Work involves cleaning,
removal and disposal of sediments from American Petroleum Institute,
Plate Pack Separators and Industrial storm-water separators. The depths
of sediment varies from separator to separator. Some of the separators
may have sediment depths of one foot or less, while other separators
may have sediment depths of up to six feet or more. Equipment needed
are vacuum truck and pressure hose; Dewater Digester Sludge: Fort Lewis
Sewage Treatment Plant currently generates approximately 2500 tons of
sludge annually from the treatment of domestic sewage. Sewage sludge is
generated in both the cake and wet forms, depending on time spent in
the drying beds. Equipment needed are dump truck or top loading tanker
truck. The terms of this contract require the contractor to provide
the services by conforming to the statutes and regulations pertinent to
the collection, transportation, removal, treatment and application of
the sludge and in accordance with regulations including, but not
limited to, the Clean Water Act, 40 CFR Part 503, 40 CFR Part 257,
Occupational Safety and Health Administration Act, Department of
Transportation regulations, Washington Industrial Safety and Health
Administration regulations, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and
Washington Department of Ecology regulations. The contract period
consists of Base Period (1 October 1998 through 30 September 1999) and
three one-year option periods. The proposed procurement listed here is
being issued as 100% small business set-aside. To obtain a copy of the
