Slana (Site Code W31XNJ) Construction services with design-build capabilities for repairs, renovations, and minor construction primarily associated with the Cape Canaveral AFS & Patrick AFB Operations and Maintenance Program. The proposed contract will include a base year and two (2) option years, each with a maximum value of $4.5M. Individual task orders under the contract will range from $80,000.00 to $1M. Incidental design, testing, and lead and asbestos abatement may be included in the task orders. This procurement is a competitive 8(a)set-aside as established in section 8(a) of the small business act (15 u.s.C. 637(a). Only those firms meeting the Small Business Administration's (SBA), criterion, and have previously been certified by the SBA as an "8(a) Contractor", are eligible to compete for this procurement and ultimately be awarded a subcontract from the SBA. It has been determined by the Small Business Administration (SBA), that competition will be restricted to 8(a) firms which have a SIC code 1542 among their approved Sic codes and which are regularly serviced by the SBA Florida Offices. This solicitation includes optional items for additional work to be performed within any area within the cognizance of the responsibility of the Mobile (Alabama) District Corps of Engineers, including, but not limited to Antigua and Ascension Islands, Bahamas, Malabar Annex, Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach Tracking and Communication Annexes, Melbourne Beach Optical Tracking Annex, Jonathan Dickenson Missile Tracking Annex, intermediate relay sites in Indian River and St. Lucie Counties. Critical path method (Network Analysis System) is not required. Bid documents are available on or about 5 March 1998 at no charge: no drawings on this project.
