59 -- MICROCONTROLLER ASSEMBLY SOL NWWG3220106744CH POC Charles A. hughes 816-426-7267 ext 229 The U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, intends to purchase 25 each micro controller assemblies, Kohler p/n B-294548, cage 67271; nsn: 5930-01-432-7884. The Government intends to purchase these devises from Kohler or a distributor of Kohler products. This item is used in conjunction with the Nexrad Radar System and was originally provided by Unisys now Lockheed Martin. The Government knows of no other equivalent item that is acceptable. The spare parts will be delivered to the National Weather Service, Kansas City, on an FOB Destination basis. As these parts are in support of current repair programs alternative or like items would not be acceptable without extensive testing. The Government does not have specifications or drawings for this item. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire from one manufacturer under the authority of 41USC253(c)(1). The Government knows of only one source authorized to provide the device referenced. Any other small business sources ableto provide the exact make and model of the equipment referenced herein is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days after it's publication. Interested firms should submit in writing, it's name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding its capability to provide the specified equipment, and the name, telephone number, and point of contact for a businesses or other Government agency to which it has previously provided the item. The anticipated award date shall be within 20 calendar days of date of this announcement. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3679. The small business size standard is 500 employees.
