Dreger, Contracting Officer, (850)234-4863 The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Coastal Systems Station, Panama City, Florida, intends to award a sole-source, Simplified Acquisition, to C-Tech Defense Corporation, Port Angeles, Washington, for the performance of environmental impact studies and detailed test facility design work for the Rapid Airborne Mine Clearance System (RAMICS). C-Tech is the principle partner in the design of the RAMICS projectile. This is a sole-source procurement, as an intimate knowledge of the projectiles characteristics is required to perform these tasks. C-Tech is the only source qualified to perform the required studies and design work as they have spent over three years developing the projectile to the current state and have the unique knowledge, skills, and insight necessary to continue the work. Period of performance is within 90 days after issuance of the Purchase Order. Note 22 Applies (0054)
