market survey for written information only. This is NOT a solicitation
announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this
announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated
with providing information in response to this announcement and any
follow-up information requests. No telephone calls requesting a
solicitation will be accepted or acknowledged. There is no solicitation
available at this time. This is a market search whereby the Government
is seeking written information only. The Office of Water (OW) of the
Environmental Protection Agency is seeking sources interested in
providing technical support for coastal pollution issues. Services will
be required in the following areas: regulation development and
legislative analysis; point and nonpoint pollution evaluation, control,
and mitigation; information resources management and modeling;
technology transfer, public education and outreach. The successful
contractor must possess superior levels of technicalexpertise in the
fields of chemistry, biology, oceanography, marine and estuarine
biology. It is anticipated that the SIC code for this acquisition will
be 8742 with a size standard of $5 million. It is also anticipated
that a multiple award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type of
contract will result from the award of the prospective solicitation.
The anticipated contract will have a five year period of performance
and will have a maximum ordering ceiling in the $10 million range. Any
interested firm should submit a capability statement which
demonstrates the firm's ability to support this effort. Responding
firms should indicate whether they are a large or small business in
relation to the above cited SIC code and size standard. The deadline
for submission of the capability statement is March 11, 1998. This
documentation should be submitted in duplicate to Richard Makepeace,
Contracts Management Division, 26 W. Martin Luther King Drive,
Cincinnati, OH 45268. It is anticipated that the solicitationwill be
