The contractor shall perform surgery, provide same day on-site emergency consultations; on-call services shall be provided once every three weeks for the VA Medical Center, Fayetteville, AR in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. Anticipated contract period is 4-1-98 through 3-31-99 with a one-year option to extend the term of the contract. Services shall be procured in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 12, Acq. of Commercial Items. Physicians must be certified, licensed, and attain and hold an in-force Professional Malpractice Insurance in an amount not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) during the contractual period along with other requirements as indicated in the solicitation package.
