Provide materials, equipment, labor, and transportation required to remove underground fuel tanks and air/water dispenser and replace with new underground fuel tanks with leak detection system, and new/air water dispenser. Also included is site prepartion for gas dispensers and monitoring system to be furnished and installed by the USCG. Includes replacement of metal roofing, painting, earthwork and pavement, lighting, electrical and miscellaneous masonry. This solicitation includes the following qualification requirement: The contractor shall meet the following minimum experience: a) Experience in the construction f gas station, in particular, removal and installation of underground gasoline tanks and leak detection systems, and; b) Must submit a list with at least three projects involving the above items in the past three years. All work shall be completed within 120 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. This solicitation is issued under and the resulting contract awarded under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (PL 100-656). The construction range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Only faxed or written requests for bid packages are acceptable. This notice is for informational purposes for minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
