This is a combined synopsis/Request for quotation (RFQ) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation of this requirement, quotations are being requested and a written quotation will not be issued. This quotation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-3. The Television-Audio Support Activity (T-ASA) intends to procure the following item: four (4) each compact character generator, stillstore with keyer; consists of: pentium MMX, 233 MHZ CPU processor (p/n CM-233NT); with 64MB EDO RAM; INTEL, DIF or GIGABYTE PCI motherboard; INTEL TRITON II chipset; 16X CD-ROM and 3.5 inch floppy drive; Windows 95 NT for DEKO; 6 foot external SCSI cable for Alladin; 4 serial and 2 parallel ports; fax modem; bonus effects/graphic package; keyboard and monitor extension cables; 5.2 GBYTE, 10ms EIDE hard drive, internal ZIP drive; ADAPTEC 2940 SCSI II PCI controller (Alladin); 512K pipeline burst cache; 4MB PCI 64 SVGA card (ATI color SVGA); Logitech or Microsoft serial mouse; enhanced Cypress 104 keyboard; Alladin, DEKO software installed/tested; Pinnacle Tech Fax Notes installed; 1500 true type/inscriber fonts (500 bitstream); 250 WATT power supply; includes: WRITE DEKO boardset, composite I/O (p/n DEKO-WRBCN); CTX SVGA 17 inch monitor (p/n: VGA-17); includes installation of DEKO hardware and software; one (1) year warranty, 800 line technical support line; DEKO system to be housed in discrete CPU with dedicated controls; power requirements 120VAC, 60HZ. The brand names and part numbers cited are known to meet or exceed the minimum requirements of the Government, but are not intended to be all inclusive or establish standards by which other than brand named items are to be evaluated against. Offerors proposing to supply Manufacturer/Models other than those specified in the notice are required to submit with their quotations specification data sheets of proposed models sufficient to enable the Government to determine their technical acceptability with the specifications stated above. Failure to do so may result in your quote being considered unacceptable and not considered for an award. Due to a work stoppage situation, the Government requests delivery by April 1, 1998, however, required delivery is 30 days ARO. Technical capability and past performance, when combined, are equal to price.
