The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia, intends to acquire through other than full & open competition, on a SOLE SOURCE BASIS with United Technologies Inc., Hamilton Standard Division, Windsor Locks, CT, non-personal Contractor Engineering and Technical Services (CETS) by qualified Field Service Personnel for the purpose of Informing, Instructing and Training Department of Navy Personnel in the Installation, Operation and Maintenance of the following Navy and Marine Corps weapons, equipment and systems: Propellers for T56-A-7/10/14/426/427 engine systems and fuel controls associated with the T64-GE-100-413/415/416/416A. The proposed procurement consists of two (2) Tasks. Each task will be for twelve (12) man months starting 01 September 1998 and ending 31 August 1999. The tasks will also contain one (1) twelve-month option period for a total of forty-eight (48) man months. This effort will be covered by a new contract or a provisional extension to the existing contract. This effort covers the Government's minimum needs. The solicitation will contain specifications for Contractor Field Services (CFS) as appropriate. Services will be at the Depot, Intermediate and/or Organizational level, as specified. The places of performance are various as specified in the solicitation. The solicitation will contain specification and qualifications for the types of services required. An IDIQ Labor Hour contract is anticipated. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with United Technologies Inc., Hamilton Standard Division of Windsor Locks, CT, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Hamilton Standard is the only supplier of these services at this time. This notice of intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
