202-927-8689 The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms has a
requirement for Crisis Negotiation Training, with training being
conducted throughout the continental United States. Minimum
requirements for crisis negotiation trainers include: Extensive
crisis/hostage negotiator training. Recognition as a crisis/hostage
negotiator in the law enforcement community. Experience in law
enforcement crisis negotiation and instruction of crisis negotiation.
Tactical training. Experience commanding law enforcement crisis
negotiation teams. Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
Prepared lesson plans. Must have at minimum, A Master of Arts/Science
Degree. These requirements are not all inclusive. Requests for the
