A -- DRAFT NASA RESEARCH ANNOUNCEMENT The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Commercial Remote Sensing Program (CRSP) is soliciting proposals to advance the commercial applications of synthetic aperture radar (SAR). This solicitation is being issued to determine the commercial viability and to define technology markets of advanced SAR-based applications. Through this NASA Research Announcement (NRA), NASA intends to create a diverse portfolio that will include a strong mix of traditional and non-traditional applications of SAR data to best assess SAR's commercial markets, technical capabilities, and business approaches. This draft solicitation will be available for comment through March 10, 1998.
