The National Imagery and Mapping Agency has a requirement for the movement of a wide variety of equipment to the Arnold facility in St. Louis, MO. This equipment is located in Brookmont, MD; Philadelphia, PA; and St. Louis, MO. The intent is to award one contract through full and open competition to move the equipment in phases. The Government will identify the equipment and the contractor will disassemble, pack, load into contractor provided transportation, and relocate to the Arnold facility in St. Louis, MO. The contractor shall be responsible for unpacking and reinstalling all equipment at the Government site. The equipment ranges from desk top personal computers, to office furniture, to complex and delicate systems requiring specialized knowledge and expertise for its removal, shipment and re-installation. Some examples of this specialized equipment are: Scanning Densotometer, 63" Press Mann-Roland, Plate Edit Station, Folder MBO, and Dylux Proofer. Some equipment will require realignment and calibration, and will require a demonstration of proper operation before payment is made. Issuance of a solicitation is anticipated on or about 20 March 1998. Offers will be due no later than 30 days after release of the solicitation. Please submit requests for solicitations in writing.
