INSTALL TEN TON A/C UNIT, BLDG. 2600 -- This acquisition is for the installation of a Ten Ton A/C unit in Bldg. 2600 to include but not be limited to the following: Demolition of an existing drop ceiling and ductwork (to include testing and removal of hazardous materials as required); installation of a (1) new (10) ton roof-mounted A/C unit; installation of thermostat; installation of a new drop ceiling and insulation; installation of new ductwork; balancing of the system to maintain even airflow and maintain a constant temperature. The performance period is expected to be approximately 60 calendar days. The solicitation will be issued through the Internet at HTTP://WWW.EDWARDS.AF.MIL/CS_PK/INDEX.HTML. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the Internet address listed above daily, for the initial issuance of the solicitation as well as any posted changes to this solicitation. Notifications of Amendments will also be made by e-mail. The solicitation will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper or computer medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. All bids and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the proposal submittal, shall be in paper medium. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. This acquisition is unrestricted full and open competition. Bids will be solicited on a firm-fixed price basis. Payment protection will be required in the form of either an irrevocable letter of credit or a payment bond. The SIC codeis 1711 with a size standard of $17 million over the past three years.
